Allison Hawthorne (B.App.Sc)
Laboratory Manager
Allison graduated with a B.App.Sc - Coastal Management from SCU in 1992 and has been employed at RWL for 9 years. Allison has expertise in conducting laboratory audits and is our quality assurance officer. Allison has 15 years experience in environmental analyses, is proficient in all of the analyses conducted at RWL and has been a NATA signatory for 7 years.
Sarah Judkins (B.App.Sc)
Scientific Officer
Sarah graduated with a B.App.Sc – Environmental Resource Management from SCU in 2001 has been employed at RWL for 5 years and is a NATA signatory for all tests. Sarah is particularly proficient in the operation of ICP-OES. Sarah has previously worked at the NSW DPI as a customer services officer/laboratory technician and at Diagnostic Laboratories in Auckland.
Michael Rowe (Cert.IV Laboratory Operations)
Field Sampling Officer
Michael graduated from TAFE in 2009 with a Certificate IV in Laboratory Operations and has been employed at RWL for 8 years. Michael is a NATA signatory for grab samples and field analysis and is proficient in the collection of samples from bores, potable reticulation systems, sewage treatment plants, rivers and water supply dams as well as the calibration of field equipment. Michael is also proficient in most of the analyses conducted in the laboratory.
Sally Granzin (Cert.IV Laboratory Operations)
Laboratory Analyst
Sally joined the laboratory team in 2009 after 12 years experience working with the NSW DPI as a Technical Assistant. Sally has a keen eye for detail and maintains the schedule of maintenance and calibrations on the laboratory equipment. Sally is also the safety officer representative.
Malcolm Window (B.App.Sc)
Laboratory Analyst
Malcolm has been employed with RWL for 2 years. Malcolm is a NATA signatory for most tests as well as sampling and field analysis. Malcolm was previously employed with NSW DPI and has been a laboratory technician for nearly 10 years.
Veronica Barnett (Cert. III Laboratory Operations)
Laboratory Analyst
Veronica has been employed with the laboratory for 2 years and is a NATA signatory for most laboratory tests. Veronica was previously employed at Soil Food Web and her microbiological capabilities have made her a valuable asset to the biological testing section.
